Beats Unveils Powerbeats Pro Truly Wireless Earbuds Powered by Apple H1 Chip
Last month, the animations of the Powerbeats Pro were found in the newly released iOS 12.2 update. Today, Apple has officially launched Beats Powerbeats Pro truly wireless earbuds for USD 250 (approx INR 17,000). They come in Black, Ivory, Navy, and Moss color options and will be available from May 2019. In terms of design, the Powerbeats Pro looks similar to the Powerbeats Pro without the connecting cord.
However, the new earbuds are smaller and lighter in weight. As seen on the second-gen Apple Airpods, the new Powerbeats Pro earbuds are powered by the new Apple H1 chip which brings hand-free ‘Hey Siri’ functionality. However, the charging case looks pretty big and comes with a lighting port for charging. Also, there is no Qi wireless charging support. Just like the AirPods, one of the two Powerbeats Pro earbuds can be used for listening to music or taking voice calls.
Talking about the battery life, the earbuds alone can give up to 9 hours of listening time and the charging case increase the total listening time to 24 hours. With the Fast Fuel charging, the earbuds can give 90 minutes of playback time with just five minutes of charging. While there is no power button, the company added volume controls on both the earbuds. These are good old physical controls and not touch gestures.
Unlike Apple AirPods one fit for all, the Powerbeats Pro comes with four sizes of ear tips and an adjustable ear hook. While these earbuds can be instantly paired with iOS devices, the user can also manually pair with Android devices. Also, India is not in the initial list of countries where the Power beats Pro will be available from next month. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for the Indian pricing of the Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds.
