Realme U1 with 6GB of RAM & 128GB of Internal Storage Might Launch Soon

Earlier this week, Realme announced a second price cut on the Realme U1 smartphone bringing the price down to just Rs 9,999 for the base variant. It is the company’s first smartphone to launch under the new U series. It is currently available in 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB storage options. Now, the company is teasing to launch the Realme U1 with more internal storage. We might see the new Realme U1 variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Even the 6GB RAM variant of the Redmi Note 7 Pro with 128GB of internal storage was only made available this week in India. The Realme U1 comes with a 6.3-inch Waterdrop notch display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and offers 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio P70 coupled with Mali G72 GPU. This is the same chipset that also powers the Realme 3 smartphone.

It currently runs on Android 8.1 based ColorOS 5.2 out of the box. However, the company already confirmed to soon release the ColorOS 6.0 update which also brings the latest Android 9.0 Pie. In terms of optics, the device comes equipped with 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with f/2.2 aperture and a 25MP single front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
