Apple Expected to Release Updated Airpods Alongside the Wireless Charging Case, Early Next Year: Report
Apple, during the launch of its 10th anniversary iPhone X, has also showcased AirPower – the wireless charging pad, which can power all the essential Apple products, which isn’t released yet. Those essential products showcased were the Apple iPhone, the Apple Watch and the AirPods case that supports wireless charging.
While we still do not know when the AirPower would come to life, there are reports that the AirPods’ optional wireless charging case will soon see the light of day early next year.
The report reveals that the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spilled some information about the upcoming AirPods. According to him, Apple is gearing up to launch the updated AirPods with a propriety case that supports wireless charging as well.
He further suggested that along with the much anticipated wireless case, Apple is also updating its first-gen AirPods internally. Which means the new AirPods is expected to feature Bluetooth 5.0, a new W-series chip and a design change that include a heat-resistant hinge as well. However, regardless the internal components change, Kuo didn’t mention about any price hike.
Nevertheless, he suggested that people have to wait until 2020 to witness all new AirPods with ‘all-new design’ element. Although there isn’t mention of the wireless charging pad, we are hoping that Apple would most likely launch them alongside the updated Apple AirPods with wireless charging case, early next year, preferably in the first quarter.
