Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 with 48MP Camera Launched in India starting at Rs 9,999
After Poco, Xiaomi has announced its new sub-brand Redmi, today. The company’s Redmi series has been known for its wide range of budget and mid-range smartphones in India. Therefore, Xiaomi has now introduced Redmi as its new sub-brand with the launch of the Redmi Note 7 smartphone in India. This new budget phone from Xiaomi has already been released in China last month. The much-awaited Redmi Note 7 is finally available in India with prices starting at – Rs 9,999 (3GB+32GB)
The Redmi Note 7 is claimed to be Splash Proof and not Water Proof, there’s no IP rating. However, the company has tight-sealed all the important ports that would handle water splashes.
Earlier: The much-awaited Xiaomi’s new sub-brand Redmi’s new Note 7 smartphone has finally gotten a launch set. The new Redmi Note 7 is all set to launch on 28th February at New Delhi, confirms the company. Xiaomi has launched the successor of its Note series – the Note 7 last month in China, which is the first phone that was unveiled by the company with Redmi branding.
The Successor of the Redmi Note 6 – the Note 7 features glass body design unlike the predecessors, which featured aluminum frames. The Note 7 comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display that features a water drop notch, which the company calls it Dot Notch Display and has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with Adreno 512GPU as well. On the storage front, the Redmi Note 7 comes in multiple variants that include – 3/4/6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of onboard storages respectively. The Note 7 is equipped with dual rear cameras featuring a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. The front notch of the Note 7 fits in a 13MP selfie shooter as well. Similar to the predecessors, these cameras are also AI-powered and support features like Auto Scene Detection, Portrait mode, and beauty modes as well.
As for authentication, the device features a conventional fingerprint sensor on the rear. The Redmi Note 7 features a 4000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4.0, which is impressive for this price bracket. As for the pricing, the Indian prices will certainly be revealed at the launch, but, as per the prices announced in China, the Redmi Note 7 comes under a mid-range price bracket ranging from Rs 9,999 (for the base variant) to Rs 13,999 for the large variant. The Note 7 features in glossy color variants that include – Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, and Onyx black color options.
