Xbox Games with Gold March 2020: these are the free Xbox One games this month

Looking for the latest free Xbox Games with Gold titles? Then you've come to the right place. We're now in March, which means there's a whole new crop of free games to try out if you're an Xbox Live Gold member.

One of the top benefits of being an Xbox Live Gold subscriber is definitely the fact that each new month brings you access to a fresh range of free games across the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms. Plus, if you’re an Xbox One owner, the backwards compatibility on offer means you get to take advantage of the Xbox 360 titles too.

Access to a new batch of games is a good way to test out the ones you wouldn't have usually played and splashed your cash on, whether because they're indie titles that slip under your radar or simply because you don’t have the funds to buy several games a month.

Even if you don’t have the console memory or the time to spare right now, we’d say it’s always worth claiming the new games that are on offer every month anyway, as you’ll then have free access to them for as long as you have an active Xbox Live account. So, without further ado, here's the Xbox Games with Gold for March 2020.

Batman: The Enemy Within – The Complete Season (Episodes 1-5) (Available March 1 to 31 on Xbox One)

Xbox Games with Gold (February 2020)

TT Isle of Man (Available February 1 to 29 on Xbox One)

A turbo-charged motorcyle racing game set in... the idyllic countryside of the Isle of Man, following the 37.73 mile track of the annual 'Tourist Trophy' race. If you don't ride a motorcycle, this is the closest to that race you're going to get.

Call of Cthulhu (Available February 16 to March 15 on Xbox One)

Based on the pen-and-paper RPG of the same name, this H. P. Lovecraft-inspired tale  promises "cosmic horror and creeping madness" as you investigate a murder on (once again) an isolated island – but presumably not the Isle of Man.

Fable Heroes (Available February 1 to 15 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One)

This spin-off of the Fable series replaces branching narratives and exploration for a relatively lightweight hack-and-slash adventure titles. If you're missing Albion, this may be where you get your fix.

Star Wars Battlefront (Available February 16 to 29 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One)

An Xbox 360 classic, Star Wars Battlefront sees you plunge into galactic warfare with military skirmishes from across the first six Star Wars movies – though you won't be able to play online, sadly.

Xbox Games with Gold (January 2020)

Styx: Shards of Darkness (Available January 1 to 31 on Xbox One)

A stealth adventure and fantasy title where you take on the role of a goblin thief in a city of Dark Elves, acting as the sequel to the classic Styx: Master of Shadows.

Batman: The Telltale Series (Available January 16 to February 15 on Xbox One)

A collection of all five episodes in Telltale's narrative take on the caped crusader – and a great refresher in the Telltale style ahead of the resurrected developer's upcoming new releases.

Tekken 6 (Available January 1 to 15 on Xbox One & Xbox 360)

This side-facing fighting game may be a bit long in the tooth now – having come out in 2007, and since handed the baton to the more recent Tekken 7 – but it's a neat slice of history in Bandai Namco's long-running franchise.

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (Available January 16 to 31 on Xbox One & Xbox 360)

Exactly what it sounds like. Take the Lego brick road through the original three Star Wars films, from A New Hope to Return of the Jedi.

Xbox Games with Gold (December 2019)

Insane Robots

Available December 1 to December 31 on Xbox One

A cutesy card-based battling game that sees you knocking the cogs off other robots in intense one-on-one matches. Single player as well as local and online competitive play.

Jurassic World Evolution

Available December 16 to January 15 on Xbox One

A theme park simulator set in the Jurassic World reboot, with all the dinosaur breeding, maintenance and damage control you could hope for. It's not the deepest example of the business sim, but the variety of dinosaur species – and the thrill of watching them escape and wreak havoc – makes this a notable inclusion in this month's list.

Toy Story 3

Available December 1 to 15 on Xbox One Xbox 360

Toy Story 3! The movie! But a game! This Pixar tie-in title charts the attempt to escape from Sunnyside daycare by Andy's loveable collection of toys – with an additional sandbox mode ('Toy Box') that lets you customize your own town for the toys to wander.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD

Available December 16 to December 31 on Xbox One and Xbox 360

A sequel to the 3D reboot of the beloved Castlevania series, this title received mixed reviews, but still offers a fix of castle exploration and gothic horror to tide you over until the third season of the Castlevania Netflix show.
