Google Assistant for Navigation to be Rolled Out in Google Maps for Android
Well, we all have been waiting for the integration of Google Assistant into Google Maps which will make navigation very easy. Earlier this year, at the Google I/O 2018 summit, the tech Giant announced that Assistant was coming to Google Maps and a visually compact and less disruptive version will appear while getting the directions. Now we have news of Google bringing the navigation optimized Google Assistant to be rolled out in Google Maps for Android.
Since Google has announced the integration, everyone has been wondering on why is it taking so much time for the Tech Giant but Google has been making the optimization to make sure the Google assistant can guide its users to the correct destination without causing any problems. With this, the uses can focus more on their driving since they don’t have to look up to the phone’s screen every time as Google will take care of all the work.
By activating the Google Assistant by saying “Ok Google” or even pressing the colored mic on the display the user will be able to play any song of their choice or send a text message to someone without having to leave the navigation mode. To get this feature, the user might require to update their Google Maps as well as the Google Assistant feature. During the daytime, the Google Assistant icon and animation will be displayed in a White backdrop while at the night it will use the night mode with a darker background.
The commands given to the Google Assistant will be running in the background without having to leave the app. Google has been pushing tons of updates to its services and recently we have seen Google maps getting added to Business messaging and also able to follow a store for its users.
