OnePlus 5 & 5T Gets Android 9.0 Pie-based Oxygen OS 9.0 Stable Update
Recently we have seen OnePlus rolling out Android 9.0 Pie beta update for OnePlus 5 and 5T and now the company has released Oxygen 9.0 Android 9.0 Pie update stable update. The update will bring new navigation gestures for 5T, Gaming Mode 3.0, Google Lens integration in camera and few more features along with the bug fixes and security patch that we see with all the updates.
The update will be available via OTA and the size of it is 1.74 GB. If you have not received the update yet, go to the setting of the smartphone and check for the updates from System Updates section. If the update is available, download it and install on the device. Make sure that you back up all your data before you start the installation and also keep the phone on the charge if the battery is less than 60 percent. Moreover, it is suggested to download the update via Wi-Fi connectivity as the size of the update is big and data charges will be applied.
The changelog that accompanies the update is, It will bring navigation gestures for OnePlus 5T while a brand new UI for Android Pie for both the handsets. It will also bring an updates system to Android 9.0 Pie and Android security patch to 2018.12. The update brings new Gaming mode 3.0 with added text notification mode, added notification for 3rd party calls making it easier for gamers.
It also brings new Do Not Disturb (DND) mode with adjustable settings and integrated Google lens mode for the camera.
