Nokia 3.1 Plus International Variant Starts receiving Android 9 Pie

HMD Global launched its budget-oriented device called Nokia 3.1 Plus a few months ago which is an upgrade over the Nokia 3.1. Now Nokia has decided to roll out the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system for the international variant of the device. Initially, the Nokia 3.1 Plus came out of the box with Android 8.1 Oreo and the same has been tweeted on Twitter by HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas with the hashtag “GetSmart”.

Since the update is being rolled out over-the-air it might take some time to hit your device depending on the region you are in. If you can’t wait for the update, go to the setting of the handset and head to the system update section. Now if the update is available then you have to download it before installing it. Make sure the battery on the smartphone is more than 60 percent before the installation begins.

The new update to the Nokia 3.1 Plus brings the normal Android Pie features like Adaptive brightness, Adaptive Battery power prioritization for users most commonly used app services. Predictive Application actions and furthermore it also brings Google security patch for the month of February. The update comes with the version V2.230 and will be rolled out gradually to all the regions.

The device was launched with 6-inch HD+ plus device powered with a MediaTek Helio P22 Octa-core SoC with a clocking speed of 2.0 GHz coupled with 2GB and 3GB of RAM. The device has a 13MP main camera sensor on the rear along with a secondary 5MP camera and for selfies, Nokia has provided an 8MP snapper.
