You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Earlier this year, Micromax introduced the new Bharat series to launch the low-cost 4G VoLTE mobile phones. The company recently launched the 4G VoLTE enabled feature phone called Bharat 1. With the fierce competition from the Chinese manufacturers in the mid-range segment, the Indian manufacturers are now more concentrating on the first-time smartphone buyers. In September this year, the company launched the Bharat 2 Plus, Bharat 3, and Bharat 4 smartphones.
According to our source, Micromax will soon launch the Micromax Bharat 5 smartphone. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,999 and features entry-level specifications. The USP of the device is its huge 5,000mAh non-removable battery that is rated to give 27 hours of talk time and lasts up to 500 hours on standby. With the reverse charging function, the user can also charge other devices using the Bharat 5. As seen with the other low-cost smartphones, the Bharat 5 also comes with a polycarbonate body.
It sports a 5.2-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and offers 400 nits of brightness. The device comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. There is 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be further expandable up to 32GB via a MicroSD card. In the camera department, the Bharat 5 offers a 5MP autofocus camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP fixed focus camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture and 83.3-degree wide-angle lens.
Beneath the display are the three capacitive navigation buttons for multitasking, home, and back (left to right). The device includes 22 Indian regional languages with rear and write support. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and includes bloatware app. On the connectivity front, the Bharat 5 includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. As of now, there is no information about the exact launch date of the Bharat 5 smartphone.
