Xiaomi Mi Max 3 – Everything You Need To Know
In the last few weeks, there are leaks about the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 smartphone. As of now, there is no official confirmation about the launch of Mi Max 3. However, a new Xiaomi smartphone with the model number M1804E4C is listed on TENAA. Later the images of the device are added to the listing.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Listed Online with 6.9″ Display & 5400mAh Battery

As leaks suggested, the Mi Max 3 will be coming with a whopping 6.9-inch display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. There is no notch on this device and we also expect to see relatively thicker bezels on the top and bottom of the display. While there is no confirmation, one variant of the device is expected to come with the newly announced 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform.
The listed device will be offering 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage. The device lacks the MicroSD card support for further expanding the storage. It will be running on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 out of the box. The Mi Max 3 sports 12 dual cameras on the rear and supports 4K video recording. For selfies, there is a mere 5MP/8MP sensor on the front.
We should be seeing AI integration as seen on the recently launched Xiaomi smartphones. As seen on the earlier launched Mi Max devices, the new Mi Max 3 also comes with a huge battery. It packs a 5,400mAh non-removable and also supports fast charging technology. The device will be coming with a USB Type-C port and also a 3.5mm audio port. It measures 176.15 × 87.4 × 7.99 mm and weighs 221 grams.
The Mi Max 2 which came with a 6.44-inch display and 5,300mAh battery measured 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6 mm and weighed 211 grams. Just like its predecessor, the upcoming Mi Max 3 should also come with the metal unibody design. Since the device got certified by TENAA, the official launch should be around the corner.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Rumored to Launch on July 3rd

Earlier today, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6 Pro smartphone and Mi Pad 4 tablet in China. While the Mi Max 3 smartphone is already listed on TENAA, the device is now rumored to launch on July 3rd in China. From the below image, the Xiaomi’s voice assistant Xiao AI has reportedly revealed the launch date. However, there are rumors that Xiaomi will launch the Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition.
For the first time, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4X Hatsune Miku Special Edition in 2017. Talking about the Mi Max 3, the device will be coming with a large 6.9-inch display that offers 18:9 aspect ratio. On the design front, the device looks similar to the earlier launched Xiaomi smartphone. The metal unibody design with vertically stacked dual rear cameras and circular fingerprint sensor.
The curved edges on the rear should also offer nice grip for holding the large device. Based on the rumors, the base variant of the Mi Max 3 will come powered by Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform. The higher-end variant might come with Snapdragon 660 or 710 processor. The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is the world’s first smartphone to feature the all-new Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform built on the 10nm FinFET process.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Confirmed to Launch on July 19th in China

Last week, Xiaomi’s CEO has posted the photo of the retail box of the Mi Max 3 smartphone on his Weibo account. Today, the company has officially confirmed to launch the Mi Max 3 smartphone on July 19th in China. The TENAA listing has already revealed first look and important specifications of the device. Just like its predecessor, the Mi Max 3 might also come in two variants. While the design will remain the same, the processor and storage options will be different.
The base variant is expected to come with Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is the first smartphone to make use of this new processor. The high-end variant of the Mi Max 3 will come powered by Snapdragon 660 or 710 processor. As there is no confirmation from the company, take these details with a pinch of salt. Later this month, the company also scheduled the global launch of Mi A2 on July 24th in Madrid, Spain.
Latest: Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Poster Reveals Front Design
In the next few days, Xiaomi will be officially launching the Mi Max 3 smartphone in China. Today, the company has posted a new teaser image revealing the front design of the device. As seen in the images from TENAA, the display comes with 18:9 aspect ratio with bezels on the top and bottom. From the featured image, we can see the 2.5D curved glass laid on the top.
While Lei Jun has already posted the image of the retail box, the newly leaked images of the retail box revealed some key details. However, we are yet to know the processors used in this smartphone. The device will be coming with a 6.9-inch display with Full HD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) resolution. On the rear, the Mi Max 3 sports dual rear cameras featuring 12MP and 5MP sensors.
The primary 12MP rear camera will be coming with 1.4-micron pixel size and 2PD (dual photodiode) autofocus. While the Mi Max 2 came with a 5,300mAh battery, the upcoming Mi Max 3 will be offering 5,500mAh battery capacity. The leaked images are of the Gold variant of the Mi Max 3 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For charging, the device comes with a USB Type-C port.
