Nokia 8.1 with Snapdragon 710 SoC & Android 9.0 Pie Spotted Online

Earlier this week, HMD Global launched its latest mid-range smartphone called Nokia X7 in China. It is the first Nokia smartphone to come powered by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform. Today, the Nokia 8.1 was spotted on Geekbench with the same Snapdragon 710 chipset. According to the listing, the device might be running on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

HMD Global has already promised the earlier Nokia devices to get the Android 9.0 Pie by the end of this year. The Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus already received the latest Android update. Talking about the Nokia 8.1, the device might soon launch as the successor to last year’s Nokia 8. While the Nokia 8.1 packs Snapdragon 710, the Nokia 8 came with the flagship Snapdragon 835 chipset.

The new 10nm Snapdragon 710 SoC on the Nokia 8.1 will come accompanied with 4GB of RAM. The Nokia 8.1 has scored 1841 on single core and 5807 on multi-core tests. As of now, there is no official confirmation about the Nokia 8.1. The rumors also suggest the company to launch the China-exclusive Nokia X7 as Nokia 7.1 Plus in the global markets.
