Android Pie based EMUI 9.0 Update Rolls Out to Huawei P20 and P20 Pro Devices

Huawei has launched its latest Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9.0 for its P20 and P20 Pro smartphones. The update is currently being rolled out in China; the global rollout is also expected to come soon. Huawei had announced the update for the recently launched Huawei P20 and P20 Pro on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo.

Last month, Huawei officially announced that a total of 9 of their devices would be getting the new EMUI 9.0 that is based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie. As promised Huawei has released the EMUI 9.0 update in China that brings features that include – GPU Turbo 2.0, Gesture-based control, HiVision, AI E-Commerce for Global shopping, Wireless Projecting, a new Ai video editor and more.

The EMUI 9.0’s GPU Turbo 2.0 feature brings in an AI predictive resource allocation to improve gaming experience, and it does decrease the touch delays by an average of 36%, as stated by the company. The gaming on the P20 and the P20 Pro, further can be enhanced by enabling advanced temperature control as well.

After the GPU turbo 2.0 feature, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro gets few more notable features with this new update. Users can now enable gesture-based navigations, which were introduced by Google in their latest Android 9.0 update.

The other noticeable feature is the new Digital Balance that allows users to glance at their daily or weekly screen management report, which is also similar to the Google’s Digital WellBeing that was rolled out not long ago with Android 9.0 update.

There are several other features included in the EMUI 9.0 update that takes advantage of Artificial Intelligence such as HiVision and AI E-Commerce for Global shopping.
