Anee A1 4G VoLTE Smartphone with Android Nougat Launched in India

Anee Mobiles is a new entrant in the Indian smartphone market. Today, the company launched its first ever smartphone called as Anee A1. Just like the many other smartphones from local manufacturers, the Anee A1 from Anee Mobiles also features entry-level specifications. While there is no information about the retail price of this device, it is mentioned to be priced very aggressively. The Anee A1 will be manufactured in India under the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative.
It is said to sport a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass laid on the top. Under the hood, it comes powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. There is just 8GB of internal storage on this device, but it includes a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 64GB. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, there is no information about the UI.
In terms of optics, there is an 8MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that should give a day-long battery life. The Anee A1 also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for using with Jio 4G SIM. On the connectivity front, the device includes 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
Anee Mobiles is also working on a new smartphone with 3GB of RAM. The complete details about the 3GB RAM smartphone will be revealed in the near future. Apart from the Android-powered smartphone, the company is also planning to bring the Anee branded feature phones.
