Asus Pegasus 4S with 5.7″ 18:9 display & 16MP Dual Rear Cameras Launched in China

Asus also joined the 18:9 display bandwagon by launching the new Pegasus 4S (X018DC) smartphone in China. Sony is the only major smartphone manufacturer who hasn’t yet launched the smartphone with an 18:9 display. The Pegasus 4S is the successor to Pegasus 3S launched in early 2017. It comes with a unibody metal design and sports a 2.5D curved glass on the front. Just like the earlier launched Pegasus smartphones, the new Pegasus 4S is also limited to the Chinese market.

As of now, there is no information about the pricing and availability of the Pegasus 4S in China. However, the base variant with 3GB of RAM is expected to be priced at 899 Yuan (approx $135 / Rs. 8,750).It will be available in Black and Gold color options. Talking about the specifications, the Pegasus 4S comes with a 5.7-inch display offering HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.

It comes in 3GB & 4GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage respectively. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. On the rear, the Pegasus 4S comes with a 16MP + 8MP dual camera setup with LED flash. The smartphone also comes with an 8MP camera on the front for selfies. It is backed by a 4,130mAh non-removable battery and comes with 10W fast charging support. The earlier launched Pegasus 3S came with a whopping a 5,000mAh battery.

The Pegasus 4S runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the latest ZenUI laid on top. It measures 152.6 × 72.7 × 8.8 mm and weighs 160 grams. On the connectivity front, the Pegasus 4S includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
