OPPO recently announced the OPPO F5 in Blue as OPPO F5 Sidharth Limited Edition in India. It will go on sale starting February 8th via online and offline stores across the country. In Pakistan, the company now launched the OPPO A71 (2018) as an upgrade to OPPO A71. Apart from few internal upgrades, the OPPO A71 (2018) is the same OPPO A71 that was launched last year in India. The new OPPO A71 (2018) is priced at PKR 19,899 (approx INR 11,444) in Pakistan.
While the OPPO A71 is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor, the OPPO A71 (2018) packs a 14nm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor. Interestingly, the new OPPO A71 (2018) only comes with 2GB of RAM, whereas the OPPO A71 offers 3GB of RAM. On the front is the 5.2-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It is surrounded by thick bezels and beneath the screen are the three capacitive navigation buttons.
There is 16GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot. The OPPO A71 (2018) still runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based ColorOS 3.1 out of the box. In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture. While these are exactly the same cameras that are featured on OPPO A71, the 5MP selfie camera on the OPPO A71 (2018) newly includes AI beauty recognition technology.
With the 14nm processor, the 3,000mAh battery on the new OPPO A71 (2018) might last slightly longer than the last year’s variant. We expect the company to soon launch this device in other Asian markets as well.
