You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Micromax Canvas Infinity launched in the August 2017 is the first sub Rs. 10,000 smartphone to feature an 18:9 display. Now, the company is getting ready to unveil the successor to the Canvas Infinity. The new smartphone is named as Canvas Infinity Pro and comes with a 5.7″ FullVision HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels). The image of the device on the leaked retail box also hints the design to be same as its predecessor. Though there is no exact launch date of the device, it will be officially launched in the next few weeks.
The Pro variant is expected to come with a few improved specs at a slightly higher price. Since most of the real estate on the front of the device is occupied by the display, the Canvas Infinity Pro will be featuring a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. It will also come with on-screen navigation buttons. While the Canvas Infinity came with a 16MP front camera, the Canvas Infinity Pro is said to sport dual camera setup on the front.
More than the Vivo and OPPO devices, the Canvas Infinity Pro with a budget price tag should be competing with the newly launched Redmi Y1 selfie smartphones. The Redmi Y1 offers a 16MP single camera on the front and is priced at Rs. 8,999. Talking about the earlier launched Canvas Infinity, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The smartphone also offered 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera, the device offered a 13MP rear camera along with a 16MP selfie camera. Both the cameras are accompanied by a LED flash. The Canvas Infinity is backed by a 2,900mAh non-removable battery. It came with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Apart from the improved front camera, the upcoming Canvas Infinity Pro might also feature mostly the same specifications as on the Canvas Infinity. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
