You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Back in mid-2017, OPPO launched the OPPO R11 and R11 Plus as the world’s first Snapdragon 660 powered smartphones. The Snapdragon 660 is the first processor in Snapdragon 600 series to feature custom Kryo cores. Now, the upcoming smartphones in the OPPO R-series to reportedly comes with the Snapdragon 670 processor. Recently, two new OPPO devices with the model numbers “PAAT00” & “PAAM00” are spotted on 3C.
Since both these devices support 20W fast charging, we expect them to be the upcoming OPPO R13 & R13 Plus smartphones. Both the OPPO R13 and R13 Plus will be the successors to last year’s OPPO R11 and R11 Plus. The OPPO’s patented VOOC fast charging technology works similar to the OnePlus Dash Charging technology. With this technology, only the compatible phones can be charged quickly.
As of now, the VOOC fast charging technology is only to limited OPPO R-series smartphones. Talking about the Snapdragon 670 mobile platform from Qualcomm, it was recently spotted in the leaks with complete details. The Snapdragon 670 will be the first mid-range chipset to be built on the 10nm FinFET process. Even the new Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810 are built on the same 10nm process technology.
It packs six Cortex-A55 high-efficiency cores called Kryo 300 Silver and two Cortex-A75 high-performance cores called Kryo 300 Gold. The CPU comes coupled with Adreno 615 GPU and Qualcomm’s Gigabit modem. On the Geekbench, the Snapdragon 670 scores 1845 on single-core and 5215 on multi-core tests. Based on the wild leaks, the OPPO R13 smartphones will be coming with full-screen display and sports iPhone X-like notch on the top.
The devices are said to offer under display fingerprint sensor and advanced face unlock for authentication. As there is no trusted source backing these rumors, take these details with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
