Huawei P20 & P20 Pro with Kirin 970 SoC & 24MP Selfie Camera Launched
After being in the rumor mills from early 2018, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are now officially unveiled at an event held in Paris, France. The devices will be available in Graphite Black, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold, and Twilight color options. Talking about the build quality, the devices come with a metal frame and mirror-finish glass back body. They run on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with the custom EMUI 8.1 skin on top.
While the Huawei P20 sports a 5.8-inch RGBW FullView LCD display, the P20 Pro comes with a 6.1-inch OLED FullView Display. There is an iPhone X-like notch on the top, but its smaller in size than the original. Under the hood, the devices come powered by the latest HiSilicon Kirin 970 AI chipset with a dedicated NPU. The Huawei P20 devices come with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
For selfies, both the devices come with a 24MP front-facing camera with 3D portrait mode and iPhone X-like lighting effects. On the rear, the Huawei P20 Pro sports a 40MP RGB primary sensor, an 8MP telephoto sensor, and a 20MP monochrome sensor. Talking about the P20, it comes with a 12MP RGB primary sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor. While the Huawei P20 is splash-proof (IP53), the bigger P20 Pro is water and dust resistant (IP67).
Both the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are backed by a 3,400mAh and 4,000mAh batteries respectively. They also support Huawei SuperCharge fast charging technology. However, there is no wireless charging support or the presence of 3.5mm audio jack.
