Oppo R17 Pro gets a price cut of Rs. 6,000 in India, now going for sale at Rs. 39,990

A couple of months earlier, Oppo launched its R17 Pro smartphone in India for Rs. 45,990 and now this flagship model gets a price cut of Rs. 6,000 in the country and is now available for Rs. 39,990. The latest pricing is applicable through all the online as well as offline stores for the radiant Mist and Emerald Green option. The handset comes with a glass-body along with a metallic frame on its edges giving a premium feel.

The handset comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and is powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM. The onboard storage is 128GB that could be extended further and the device has a triple camera set up on the rear with a main 12MP camera with a 20MP secondary sensor and third ToF camera. For selfies, there is a 25MP ultrawide camera and has a 3,700mAh battery with support for 50W fast charging via SuperVOOC flash Charge technology.

Earlier: Oppo R17 Pro was officially launched in China in August with Triple Cameras and the same device is going to be launched in India on 4th of December. Oppo is bringing its premium R-series devices into the country for the first time and media invites are already out for the same. The Oppo R17 Pro will be coming with an immersive water drop display and it was launched in China for CNY 4,299 (approx Rs. 44,000) but Indian pricing is not yet revealed.

The device will come with a big 6.4-inch FHD+ display with 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio and it will also be protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and back as well. Under the hood, there will be an octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with Adreno 616 GPU and 6GB of RAM. Furthermore, there is an in-display fingerprint sensor on the device which is claimed by the company to unlock the smartphone in 0.41 seconds.

The onboard storage of the device is 128GB and out of the box, it will be coming with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with the companies own ColourOS 5.2 on top of it. There is a dual camera setup on the rear of the device with a single selfie camera on the front. The main camera sensor has 12MP with a variable aperture that changes itself depending on the light. The secondary camera is of 20MP which captures depth information the portrait shots.

Furthermore, it has Time of Flight 3D sensing technology which can get high-precision 3D depth information through nanosecond infrared light measurement which is useful for 3D facial recognition and AR applications. There is a 3,700 mAh battery on the device with SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology that is claimed to charge the device form 0 to 40 percent in just 10 minutes.
