Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) Launched with S-Pen support
Last month, Samsung had launched its latest tablet models line-up including the Galaxy Tab A 10.1, the Galaxy Tab S5e and the Galaxy Tab Active 2. It appears Samsung isn’t done yet; the company had unveiled its new tablet – the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) with S Pen support in Thailand. The new Galaxy Tab A 8.0 appears to be toned down version of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1, which had launched last month.
While the design looks identical to the Tab A 10.1, the Galaxy Tab A (2019) features an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1200. The tablet features in single storage variant comprising of 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage and also has microSD expansion of up to 512GB. The Tab A 8.0 (2019) is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, and the rear camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) is powered by an Exynos 7904 SoC that happens to be the same octa-core processor featured in Galaxy Tab A 10.1 model. As stated the tablet supports S-pen but bear in mind it supports the older S-Pen that came with the Galaxy Note 8 and not the latest Galaxy Note 9 that acts as a remote for clicking selfies and for showcasing power point presentations. The Tab A 8.0 (2019) features a battery of 4200mAh capacity that can be charged via Micro USB 2.0. On the connectivity front, the tablet supports Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, NFC, and LTE connectivity as well. And, lastly, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) runs on Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out-of-the-box.
As per the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) listing on the Samsung Thailand website the pricing and availability is yet to be known. Earlier refreshed tablets and the new Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet’s availability in India is still unclear, as of now. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more such interesting updates.
