Samsung Reportedly Plans to Finally Kill the Galaxy J Series
The recent leaks suggest the company to soon launch two new smartphones called Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus and Galaxy J4 Plus. While there is no official confirmation, the company might launch both these new Galaxy J smartphones in the next few days. Now, the latest report from ET News reveals the South Korean company to soon take off the Galaxy J series from the market. The same report also suggests the company to revamp the Galaxy A series.
We hope the company does it as soon as possible in order to fight back the Chinese brands like Xiaomi and Honor in the budget segment. Samsung has been selling a few Galaxy J smartphones as Galaxy On smartphones via online stores. Now, the company will also replace online exclusive Galaxy On series with the new Galaxy M series. With this new revamp strategy, Samsung thinks to earn back the lost market share in the budget segment.
Compared to the current Galaxy J series smartphones, the budget smartphones from Xiaomi and Honor smartphones are offering better hardware at a lower price point. Coming to the mid-range segment, the company will continue the current Galaxy A series but with more aggressive approach. We expect to see the upcoming mid-range Galaxy A smartphones to come with better value for money price tag.
While everything seems interesting in this new report, we still don’t have the official confirmation over the same. We at least hope the company to launch the upcoming Galaxy J6 Plus and Galaxy J4 Plus with a more aggressive price tag. If the report has to be believed, both the Galaxy J6 Plus and Galaxy J4 Plus will mark the end of the Galaxy J lineup. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
