You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Honor, an Online smartphone brand that has captured the heart & soul of the youths all over the world with their impressive handsets is reportedly going to launch their new handset in India tomorrow. The brand has a presence in India as well as the United States and in some European countries. It is an online exclusive sub-brand of Huawei Technologies company, which has their own set of handsets including the recently launched dual-camera smartphone, Huawei P9.

There’s no doubt that Huawei and Honor phones are doing great business, as both the brands have reportedly been posting great sales figures over the past quarters. All thanks to the handsets such as Huawei P9, Honor 8 and couple more handsets such as Honor 7, Honor 5X and Honor 5C that has contributed in the large sales figures. Since it’s inception in India more than two years ago, the company has cloaked rapid growth of sales in the country. Every year the brand has introduced a new handset in each range they have a presence.

Speeding things up, this year the brand is going to bring their new mid-ranger to India, which has already seen the announcement in China last year followed by the United States at CES 2017 Expo. Now India is getting ready to see the company’s latest offering, which has the USP as the dual-lens camera on the rear side. These days the smartphone manufacturers are cashing in the trend of the dual-lens camera, which was started by none other than Huawei as they introduced Honor 6 Plus with dual 8MP lens on the rear side. We have already seen many other brands also now adopting the dual-camera setup over the past couple of years.

If you somehow missed noticing the fact that last year the dual-camera setup was in trend and lots of smartphone makers started to equip their smartphones with the dual-camera setup. Offering a dual-camera setup is one thing, while offering something that makes sense is another. We had already seen the Huawei P9 came with a monochrome sensor that helped the users capture some amazing shots. Experimenting with technology and making it useful for consumers is what Honor has been doing since it’s inception. That can be seen on all of their handsets, right from the start.

But if you were wondering what is so special about this new upcoming handset from Honor. Well, it could be the most affordable dual-camera smartphone in the world, only if is priced right. Many brands have started to cash in this trend just after Honor announced their affordable dual-camera enabled mid-ranger in China last year in October. Let’s see how the Indian consumers would take the new Honor mid-ranger depending upon the price point they finally launch at.

We believe for new dual-camera enabled Honor handset to succeed their handset should be priced below Rs 15,000. The pricing is an important factor as comparing how Honor 8 & Huawei P9 was priced premium in India. If priced right, the smartphone would most certainly break the sales record of even the highly sold mid-rangers in Indian smartphone history; such is the potential of the upcoming Honor handset.

Honor is soon going to introduce their new handset in India, which would be coming up with dual-camera setup and all-metal body construction. Let’s just hope the company aggressively prices it as most of the mid-range consumers would purchase it if priced right.
