This is the Samsung Galaxy S8 – Everything We Know
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone has been the center of attraction for quite a long time now. We have been hearing a lot of rumors about this device. A bunch of rumors claimed that it would come with a bezel-less display and a few others claimed that it would have dual camera sensors and what not. While none of this info was confirmed and we were waiting for some firm news on this device, a new report from Venture Beat has given us our first look at the device now. According to the source, the device will be making a debut on March 29th of this year.
Along with a date for the launch of the device, we also got our first look at the device, and well, we must say that it comes with a few surprises indeed. As you can see from the image shown below, we are looking at a silver color variant here or at least it appears to be of silver color. If you take a look at the device, at the back, we don’t really have many changes this time around as it looks identical to the existing S7 & the S7 Edge. Yes, the only difference being the location of the fingerprint sensor which is now moved to the top along with the camera sensors.

When it comes to the front of the Galaxy S8 smartphone as shown in the image here, things are drastically different. The physical home buttons which Samsung is used to putting on all of its devices is now gone and nowhere to be seen as the display is taking pretty much the whole of the front. We are indeed looking at an edge-to-edge display here and if it is going to resemble anything close to the rumors, then we surely are in for a treat. Talking about the display, this year again Samsung is planning for two screen sizes.
According to the source, the Galaxy S8 will have a worldwide release on 21st of April and it will come in two display sizes. One variant will come with a 5.8″ display on the front and the other will come with 6.2″. The reports also claim that the aspect ratios of the display will be 18.5:9 which should make them feel more or less like the last year’s flagships.
