ZTE to Launch Blade A2 Plus / A610 Plus Smartphone in India on February 3rd

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

ZTE is one of the very few Chinese smartphone brands to capture decent market share in the Western countries. However, it is the only major Chinese smartphone manufacturer to miss the fastest growing smartphone market, India. A couple of years back, the company launched the 4G compatible smartphone, Blade Qlux 4G priced at Rs. 5,000. In mid-2016, the company also launched two more new smartphones called ZTE Blade V6 (a.k.a Blade D6) and Axon Mini priced at Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 23,599 respectively. Now in 2017, the company teasing a new smartphone that will be launched on February 3rd. The upcoming smartphone will be sporting decent mid-range specifications along with an all-metal body.

From the teaser, it looks similar to the Blade A2 Plus that was launched in China in September. It is the same device that was later launched as Blade A610 Plus in Russia. It comes with curved edges on the back that offers a nice grip to hold on to the device. The volume rocker and the power button are placed on the right side of the device. The Blade A2 Plus or the Blade A610 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor. It was launched in three different variants with 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB of RAM options. Apart from the RAM and storage, the device launching in India will have the same specifications as on the earlier launched Blade A2 Plus and Blade A610 Plus.

There will also be a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the MiFavor UI laid on top. For photos and videos, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus. While on the front is an 8MP camera for selfies. The fingerprint sensor placed on the rear will enhance the security levels of this device. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for making HD voice calls. The 5,000mAh battery on this device will make the device easily last more than a day of mixed usage. Next week, the Taiwanese smartphone maker, Asus will also launch the upgraded Zenfone 3s Max smartphone with a 5,000mAh battery.

The device measures 155 x 76.2 x 9.8 mm and weighs 189 grams. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 g/b/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It also comes packed with a bunch of sensors including Proximity Sensor, Hall Sensor, Accelerometer, and Ambient light sensor. Take all these details with a pinch of salt as they are yet to be officially confirmed by the company. Last year, the company announced to bring a total of eight new smartphones to the Indian market in the Q1 2017. While the upcoming Blade A610 Plus/ A2 Plus will be first in the list, we will be seeing even more ZTE branded smartphones in the coming months. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details about the other ZTE smartphones.
