BlackBerry’s first Dual SIM Android Smartphone surfaces with Snapdragon 425

BlackBerry is reportedly planning for a mid-range smartphone which will be intended towards the budget friendly market. The new Android-powered device will come codenamed as BBC100-1, and according to @rquandt, the handset will come with 4GB of RAM. Moreover, it will also be the first dual SIM smartphone from BlackBerry which has been in the Smartphone market for a long time now. Recently the company started making Android smartphone considering the increasing demand for Android handsets.
According to the rumored specifications of the BlackBerry BBC100-1, the handset will come with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display mostly with a glass protection on top. Under the hood, there will be a Quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor with a clocking speed of 1.4GHz accompanied with 500MHz Adreno 308 GPU. Coming to the storage options, it is expected to feature 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which could be further extended up to a maximum of 128GB via microSD card slot.
The device will be supporting 4G LTE connectivity and will also have other connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, A-GPS and few others. It is also expected to come out of the box with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system as its predecessors. There will be a 13MP camera sensor on the rear with LED flash with other camera options, while there is an 8MP selfie camera for video calling. Apart from there, there is a 3000mAh battery included on the device to power it.
Recently we have also seen BlackBerry joining with PT BB Merah Putih who signed the agreement for distributing, manufacturing and promoting BlackBerry devices with BlackBerrys secure Android software and applications in the Indonesian market.
