HTC Desire 12 Plus with 5.99″ HD+ Display & Snapdragon 450 SoC Leaked
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
HTC is rumored to launch the Desire 12 as its first budget smartphone with 18:9 display. Now, the latest leaks also suggest the company to launch its elder sibling called Desire 12 Plus. Just like the Desire 12, the Desire 12 Plus also uses the new 18:9 display technology. While the HTC Desire 12 is codenamed as Breeze, the newly leaked Desire 12 Plus comes with the codename Breeze Plus. Though we got to know the specifications of the Desire 12 Plus, the first look of the device is yet to be revealed.
On the front is a 5.99-inch display with HD+ (1,440 x 720 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the 14nm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes packed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There should be a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage. In the camera department, the Desire 12 Plus sports a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
HTC is mentioned to add electronic image stabilization (EIS) to the front camera for stabilized videos. The rear camera will be using a back-illuminated sensor for capturing high-quality photos even in low-light conditions. It measures 158.24 x 76.54 x 8.39 mm and weighs 155.01 grams. The smartphone will be supporting GSM bands 850, 900, 1800, 1900, and also LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 40. We expect it to run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
It will be backed by a 2,965mAh battery and will come accompanied by a 5V/1.5A power adapter. While the Snapdragon 450 supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology, the company might not make use of that. The device can be charged from 0% to 100% in 130 minutes. It is rated to give up to 26 hours of talk time and will last up to 522 hours on standby. We can expect more leaks to follow soon. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
