You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

OnePlus has launched OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T smartphones in 2017. Both the devices came with top-notch specifications and superior build quality. The devices are launched with “value for money” price tags and have been the popular flagship devices of last year. Now in 2018, the company will be coming up with the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T in the first half and second half of 2018 respectively. Below you find all the leaks and rumors about the OnePlus 6 smartphone.

OnePlus 6 Smartphone with Under Display Fingerprint Sensor to Launch in March

(December 23rd, 2017)

Just last month, OnePlus launched the all-new OnePlus 5T smartphone as a year-end upgrade to the OnePlus 5. It even launched the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition smartphone just before the release of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi in India. Now, the new reports reveal some interesting information about the upcoming OnePlus smartphone. While there is no confirmation, the 2018 flagship from OnePlus will be called as OnePlus 6.

While the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 5 smartphones are launched in the month June, the OnePlus 6 is said to hit the market in March 2018. It will be continuing to feature Full Optic AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio as seen on the OnePlus 5T. While the OnePlus 5T came with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, the upcoming OnePlus 6 is rumored to feature an under-glass fingerprint sensor.

At the MWC Shanghai 2017, Vivo showcased the under-glass fingerprint sensor with the Vivo Xplay 6 smartphone. Synaptics already started mass production of the under-display fingerprint sensors, and Vivo will be the first manufacturer to launch the smartphone with an under-glass fingerprint sensor. Based on the leaks, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones from Samsung will continue to feature the rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

The Face Unlock introduced with the OnePlus 5T will also be present on the OnePlus 6. Talking about the other specifications, the OnePlus 6 might launch in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants as seen with the OnePlus 5 and 5T devices. The dual rear cameras and Dash Charge will be continued as well. We can expect even more leaks in the coming weeks. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details about the upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone!

Latest: OnePlus 6 to Come with 19:9 Display & Snapdragon 845 SoC

Earlier this week, the TVC of the OPPO R15 smartphone revealed its complete design. If the OnePlus goes with the same strategy as 2017, then the upcoming OnePlus 6 will look same as the OPPO R15. While the OPPO R15 packs higher mid-range specs, the OnePlus 6 will be coming with flagship specifications. Firstly, the device might come with metal frame and glass back body. It will be coming with the model number A6000.

Under the hood, the Oneplus 6 will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform. Talking about the display, we expect the OnePlus 6 to feature a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2246 x 1080 pixels) resolution. While the OnePlus 5T came with 18:9 aspect ratio, the OnePlus 6 with display notch will change the aspect ratio to 19:9. and since it comes with a notch, it offers unusual 2280 × 1080 pixels resolution.

Just like the last year’s OnePlus smartphones, the upcoming device might also come in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. On the Antutu benchmark test, the OnePlus 6 is said to have scored 2,76,510, which slightly higher than the 2,73,741 score of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S. Instead of the under display fingerprint sensor, the company will be continuing with the traditional rear facing fingerprint sensor.

The OnePlus will continue to offer dual cameras on the rear and single camera on the front. The OnePlus 6 should be going official in the coming months. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
