OPPO Teases R15 & R15 Plus Smartphones with iPhone X-like Notch
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
OPPO is long rumored to launch the successors to OPPO R11 and R11 Plus smartphones. While we all expected to soon see the launch of OPPO R13 smartphones, the company has officially confirmed to launch the OPPO R15 smartphones as the successors to OPPO R11 smartphones. Apart from teasing the devices, OPPO also released a TVC featuring the new ambassador for the OPPO R15 smartphones.
Firstly, these new devices come with the iPhone X-like notch on the top of the display. Even this has become a trend at the MWC 2018, where most of the smartphones seen with the similar looking notch. Apart from the notch on the top, there is also thin bezel on the top of the display. At the bottom, we can also see a comparatively thick bezel. Though the OPPO R15 and R15 Plus come in different screen sizes, they mostly share the same specs and design.
On the rear, the OPPO R13 smartphones look similar to their predecessors with dual cameras on the top left corner and oval-shaped fingerprint sensor in the middle. The full-screen display on the front should be featuring AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution. Unlike the Vivo, OPPO is not yet using the new under display fingerprint scanning technology. Based on few leaks, both these devices will mostly come powered by the newly announced MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core processor.
This processor includes four high-performance Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four power-efficient Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It comes coupled with Mali G72 MP3 GPU. However, we expect to see the new Snapdragon 600-series or 700-series processor inside these devices. I’m going to take a wild guess here and say the OPPO R15 might be launched as the OPPO F7 in India. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
