Google’s Project Fi to Support iPhone, Samsung & OnePlus Devices
Google is supposed to announce more devices that support the Google Fi starting tomorrow but according to few reports, Google Fi will allow the users to bring phones from OnePlus, Motorola. LG, Samsung and iPhones in Beta. Google also mentioned that the fund Google Fi experience will not be available for devices which were not designed for Fi. The phones that can seamlessly use the Google Fi feature are listed below which can easily switch between Wi-Fi, US Celluar, T-Mobile, and Sprint towers to achieve good coverage.
The devices that are designed for Fi are Google’s own Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, LG G7, LG V35, Moto G6, and Moto X4. As of now, not all the phone are completely compatible with Fi since it is compatible only with Android Pie. Google Fi is nothing but Project Fi which has been rebranded recently but nothing has been announced officially yet. Project Fi or Google Fi is a service which offers its users wireless services which are also called as Google’s MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) that will be using cellular networks which belongs to carriers like Sprint, U.S Cellular, and T-Mobile.
Taking in the considerations, MVNO will automatically switch between the carries and gives its users the best signal strength without having to face network breakage issues. The project was announced in the year 2015 and was compatible with very few devices from Google like the Nexus 6, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. For the user to enjoy this feature on the supported device, subscription to the Project Fi costs about $20 every month for its users, who can make unlimited calls and texts and cost an extra $10 for 1GB of data. Googled refunded its customers every month for the unused data on these devices.
The Project Fi subscribers will have a combination of three different LTE carries and also a good thing to the customers, who docent use much of data on individual plans.
