Smartron Stops Support for SRT.Phone While Initially Promising 3 Major Android Updates
Over a year ago, Smartron launched it device called as Smartron SRT.Phone in India which is the second smartphone from the brand which was launched in association with the Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. The device was available for Rs. 12,999 onwards and was made targeting the midrange segment. Smartron is a Hyderabad based company which entered the Indian market with the launch of Smartron t.book in 2016.
The company promised to provide at least one Android security update to its user every quarter with at least three major updates. Now, on the forum page of the company the Community Manager has clearly mentioned that they have stopped support for the SRT.phone and there won’t be any further updates available for the smartphone. This was answered for a question asked for the Android Pie update for the phone and has said to contact T-care for further assistance on. Bug fixes.
The device came with a plastic body and was available in Grey color variant along with rounded corners. The device sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD IPS display along with Gorilla Glass 3 Protection on top. It comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, along with a 5MP camera and has a Type-C USB port for charging. The device was powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC with 1.4GHz clocking speeds and coupled with 4GB of RAM. It was available in 32GB as well as 64GB storage variants.
It comes with a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge support and also supports 4G LTE connectivity that also has the other basic connectivity option along with sensors. Do you use a Smartron SRT.Phone?
