You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei, sells its smartphones mostly via online stores. Last year, we saw quite a few decent smartphones under Honor brand like Honor 6X, Honor 8 Pro, and Honor 9i. Recently, the all-new Honor 7X was made available in the Indian market exclusively via Flipkart. The newly launched Honor 7X and Honor View 10 smartphones are on already on sale in China by the end of 2017.
According to the latest report, Honor is said to be the top smartphone e-brand in the Chinese market for 2017. It even surpassed Xiaomi in terms of both sales volume and revenue in China. According to the Sino Market Research, the Hauwei’s sub-brand had sold more than 55 million devices and generated 79 billion yuan worth revenue. On the other hand, Xiaomi is claiming to be the No.1 smartphone brand in India.
The Honor has been very aggressive at pricing its latest smartphones. The Honor View 10 with the 18:9 FullView display, Kirin 970 AI chipset, and 16MP + 20MP dual camera setup is sold in India for Rs. 29,999. The company recently launched the China-exclusive Honor 9 Youth as Honor 9 Lite in India. It is priced at just Rs. 10,999 and sports a 18:9 display with FullHD+ resolution.
With the 2.5D curved glass on the front and rear, the device also looks premium in hand. While Xiaomi came as runner-up in China, it is indeed leading in the Indian market. However, both these brands are making inroads into the offline stores for acquiring more market share. With the intense fight between these brands, the customers will be benefitted with some high quality devices at a very low cost.
