Upcoming Nokia Flagship Smartphone From HMD Global to Feature Penta Lens Camera
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
At the MWC 2017, HMD Global unveiled three Nokia-branded Android smartphones along with the new Nokia 3310 feature phone. While the company enjoyed moderate success with these devices, we haven’t heard any record-breaking numbers. Recently, the company also released the Nokia 6 (2018) in China, HMD Global’s first smartphone in 2018. The HMD Global is rumored to launch the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7 smartphones for the global markets at the MWC 2018 in February 2018.
Now, the new leaks hint at the announcement of a flagship called Nokia 10 at the MWC 2018. Based on the leaks from China, the Nokia 10 will be coming with a Penta-lens design as seen in the above featured image. There are five camera sensors, LED flash, fingerprint sensor, and one more unknown sensor. We expect the unknown sensor to be used for laser autofocus. Three out of five camera sensors are vertically aligned on the rear and the other two camera sensors are placed on each side of the vertical alignment.
While we have seen Tango smartphones with three camera sensor for better AR results, there is no information available about the Penta-lens on the upcoming Nokia smartphone. HMD Global and Zeiss might collaborate once again for developing the camera software for these Penta-lens. It is also mentioned to come powered by the Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform. The device will use the 18:9 aspect ratio for its display for an immersive experience.
The Nokia 10 will use the metal frame with glass panels on the front and rear. We can expect more leaks to follow soon about this new Nokia smartphone.
