Moto G6 Play Renders Reveal Glass Back Body & 18:9 Display
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Motorola is expected to launch the Moto G6 series smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2018 held in Barcelona, Spain. Instead, it only showcased the Moto Z smartphones with the new Moto Mods. The Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play have been in the rumors mills for a long time. There are quite a few leaks revealing the key specifications of these devices along with press renders.
The Moto G6 Play is now spotted on the Taiwanese certification agency’s website confirming the earlier leaks. Even the renders of the device are included in the listing. On the design front, the device looks similar to the Moto X4. The Moto G6 Play comes with a glossy finish back body with a large circular camera model featuring a single rear camera and LED flash. Just below the camera module is the Moto dimple with an integrated fingerprint sensor.
On the front, the device sports a 5.7” HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) display with thinner bezels compared to the current Moto smartphones. From the images, we can confirm the device to include MicroUSB 2.0 port and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is mentioned to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform. It will be coming in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage respectively.
There should also a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage. The Moto G6 Play supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity. It will be running on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with almost stock UI on top. While the specifications look decent for a budget device, the success mainly depends on the pricing.
