Xiaomi Launches Fitbit Alta Clone, Dubbed as Amazfit Cor Fitness Band
Earlier this year, Xiaomi’s subsidiary Amazfit launched its latest fitness band called Amazfit Cor. It looks similar to the Fitbit Alta but comes with a color display. Unlike Xiaomi, Amazfit sells most of its products in the US. While the Fitbit Cor is priced at 299 Yuan (approx $47) in China, it is now made available in the US for $79. The best features of this fitness band are the color display and long battery life.
Unlike many other basic fitness bands, the Amazfit Cor sports a relatively large 1.23-inch touchscreen display. Apart from showing the fitness stats, the Cor can also show the notifications when connected to a smartphone. The tracker comes enclosed in a stainless steel with 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass protection on the top. Amazfit Cor might be one of cheapest fitness bands to come with 5 ATM water resistance rating.
Talking about the sensors, it got a 3-axis accelerometer and an optical heart rate. It is backed by a 170mAh lithium polymer battery and is mentioned to give impressive 12-day battery life. The user can connect the Amazfit Cor to their Android or iOS device via Bluetooth connectivity. For making customization and syncing data, the user also needs to install the Mi FIt app from the respective app store.
The Amazfit Cor also feels lightweight by weighing only 32 grams (1.1 ounces). While the company launched the Amazfit Cor in Black, Blue, Gray and Red color options, only the Black color variant is on sale in the US.
