Samsung Galaxy Flex Foldable Phone Expected to Cost $2500
At SDC 2018 this month, Samsung has demonstrated its much anticipated evolutionary foldable phone – the Galaxy F (Flex) smartphone. While it was just a sneak peek at the event, the first foldable phone is scheduled to launch before the first half of 2019. It is entirely reasonable that the upcoming foldable Galaxy Flex phone would undoubtedly be pricey as the premium phones have already crossed $1000 mark this year – thanks to Apple.
That said, a new report from Gizmodo states that the new Galaxy Flex is expected to surpass all the current high priced smartphones with its steep pricing, which is likely to be in between ‘$1900 – $2500,’ which is huge for a smartphone till date. The uncertain pricing is cumbersome and almost double the pricing of today’s top smartphone line-ups. The report further suggests us that unlike other Samsung phones, specifically in the UK, where they are usually sold under Samsung Upgrade programme, the Galaxy Flex phone is expected be excluded from this program due to its abrupt pricing.
Furthermore, the report also implies us that EE (UK Network) would only be the individual cellular network to offer the Galaxy Flex phone on both contract and SIM-free programs. There’s isn’t any official confirmation from Samsung on this pricing yet. However, we will need to wait and see how well the Galaxy Flex foldable phone can be received, considering it as the first-gen and the first foldable phone from Samsung, which is slated to launch mid-2019. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more updates.
