1. Battery-draining and Slow Charging Issue
Problem – The most common issue that is keep troubling all the Android users is battery draining. Same is the case with LG Nexus 5 smartphone as many users reported about the issue. So, we made few workouts with which you can overcome this issue.
Solution – First and foremost thing to remember is always to make sure to use original battery charger for charging the device. Also, never attempt to charge the battery via laptop or PC as it will slow down the process of charging as swapping occurs.
Next, try to remove the battery-draining apps from the device. So, double check the apps that are downloaded by you and uninstall the apps that are causing the battery-draining issue. Also, try to avoid the usage of widgets and live wallpapers as they will consume more amount of battery by over-loading the processor.
2. Lag in Performance
Problem – Another issue that is troubling the users is Lag in the device performance after using the phone for few months. Well, this is also a common issue that is seen in many Android devices.
Solution – To reduce the lag issue, users need to perform several tasks. First of all, enable the developer options on the device by tapping 7 times on the ‘Build number’ option under ‘Settings>About Phone’. Now, you can see these options under the device settings and so open them and find out animation scale options which are Window Animation Scale, Transition Animation Scale, and Animator duration scale. Now, turn these options off or reduce them to 0.5x so as to improve the device performance.
Next, to avoid the lag issue, you need to clear cache from the apps and device. For removing app cache, open each app from the app manager and tap on ‘Clear Cache’ button. For wipe cache partition, you have to turn on the device into recovery mode. For that, turn off the device and press Volume Down and UP buttons along with the power button simultaneously at the same time until the phone turns ON. Next, highlight the ‘Recovery’ by pressing the Volume Down button two times. Use power button to start the ‘Recovery Mode’ where you will see the Android robot image with red exclamation mark. Now, keep holding the power button and then press and release the volume up button. That’s all; now you have to select and confirm ‘wipe cache partition’ using volume and power buttons. Once the process is done, go for ‘Reboot System Now’.
By now, the device should be free from the lag issue and if not perform the factory reset as a last option. But before proceeding with this process, take a prior back up of the data present in the phone as it will erase everything from the device. Once the backup is taken, turn off the device and get into recovery mode as explained above. In here select and confirm, ‘wipe data/factory reset’ and ‘Yes – delete all user data.’ The same process can be done by opening, ‘Settings>Backup & Reset> Factory Data Reset>Reset Phone>Erase Everything’. That’s all; now your device should be completely free from the lag issue.
3. Phone is not working properly
Problem – Few users reported that their device is not functioning properly after the software update. Well, there may be few reasons behind this and by performing few workouts one can easily sort this issue out.
Solution – At first, try to clear the entire cache from the apps and device as explained in the above solution. And sometimes, the problem may occur due to the third-party app, and so you need to make sure of that by getting your device into safe mode. This can be done by long-pressing the power button and then long-tap on power off option which will make the device enter into safe mode. In here, third-party apps will not work and so use the device for few minutes to find out the solution. If the device is free from the issue, then the problem is with the installed app. So, now reboot the phone again to get into the normal mode and find out the problem-causing app and uninstall it.
Even if the issue is not resolved, then perform the factory reset of the phone as explained in the above solution.
