Lenovo ZUK Z2 Rio 2016 Games Edition with 3GB RAM & 32GB internal storage listed
Lenovo Lunched the new ZUK Z2 smartphone last month which has got pretty good response so far. The device sports flagships specs and is a very good value for money smartphone. Now according to new reports, the company is planning to announce another variant of this smartphone, and it is expected to launch soon. There is nothing new about the smartphone except for few changes.
This new variant of the smartphone is a special Rio 2016 Games Edition for the upcoming Olympic Games this year in Rio. Talking about the changes in this particular variant, it has adopted a couple of changed internally. The new special edition device will come packed with a 3GB of RAM and will have a 32GB of internal storage option. This is a slight modification from the existing variant, which is packed with 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage.
As far as other physical changes go, there is nothing new here. In fact, there is no physical logo also on the device anywhere. The main reason of this would be the fact that Samsung is the sole official mobile partner for the Rio 2016 Olympics. They also launched a Rio 2016 Games Edition Galaxy S7 Edge. So the only thing we can expect here with the ZUK Z2 are wallpapers and Rio 2016 themes pre-installed on the device. Not really sure, what Lenovo is trying to do with this on here.
As far as other specs go, it is all the same as that of the regular ZUK Z2. It is powered by a 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor and sports a 5-inch 1080p display on the front. It also has the same 13-megapixel rear facing camera lens along with a LED flash and an 8-megapixel front facing shooter. The internals is powered by a 3,500 mAh battery. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth, GLONASS etc.
The new ZUK Z2 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow based ZUI 2.0 software pre-installed and also features a fingerprint scanner. This Dual SIM smartphone comes in black and white color options and is available for pre-orders in China in select stores for about 1499 Yuan (roughly translates to about $225). This device is expected to go on a flash sale officially on August 2nd. Stay tuned for info on this.
