Amazon India launches Prime Services at 499 a year, Free for first 60 days
After a long wait, Amazon has finally launched the Prime services here in India that are primarily around offering you faster shipping for free. The service is priced at Rs 999 per year which is should be considering ok if you are at least ordering once on Amazon but at the moment its priced at Rs 499 per year. Referring to other services like Amazon Video & Amazon Music, they are not yet available & you should be able to know more in the coming days.
In order to signup, click here to get the first 60 days free trial offer following which you will be charged the Rs 499 for the first year. You need to remember that this offer does not mean free shipping on every product listed on Amazon, but all those that have the Prime Logo next to the pricing. Though this would be applicable to the products that are mostly “fulfilled by Amazon”. We have already seen many combo offers on the Amazon US where you also get 50% on the initial prime membership along with a new credit card, the offers that we expect to see soon in India too.
Amazon Prime benefits include:
FREE One-Day Delivery to eligible addresses.
FREE Two-Day delivery to eligible addresses.
Discounted Same-Day Delivery to eligible addresses at Rs.50.
Discounted Morning Delivery to eligible addresses at Rs.50.
Discounted Scheduled Delivery to eligible addresses at Rs.50.
No minimum order value required for FREE Standard Delivery.
Prime Early Access- Get early access to Lightning Deals on Amazon.in.
Prime Exclusive Deals – Get exclusive Lightning Deals and Deals of the Day for Prime members on Amazon.in
Currently, Amazon India charges Rs 40 for a standard delivery which is the minimum charge for anything ordered below Rs 499, while the charges go upto Rs 80 & Rs 100 if selected two-day or one-day delivery. All of these charges would get discounted if you signup for the Prime services & this is the main reason why someone opts for the same. Referring to these discounted charges, now the Prime members will be paying just Rs 50 for same-day, morning, and scheduled deliveries instead of the Rs. 150 that they were paying earlier.
click here to signup for the initial 2 months free subscription following which around the end of this period you can decide to continue to stop the services. If you plan to cancel at that moment, you won’t be charged for anything while you should have availed all the offers during this period. Its worth the money if you are someone who at least orders once in a month.
