Samsung Galaxy M2 Spotted on Geekbench with Exynos 7885 SoC

Samsung’s Galaxy M2 surfaces online on Geekbench with the model name SM-M205F. The device is said to be Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy M series device and should be known as Galaxy M2. The South Korean Giant is also said to be working on launching a range of smartphones in its M series and this series is placed higher than the Galaxy On series in terms of the pricing so it will be interesting to see the specs sheet of this handset.

As per the listing on Geekbench, the upcoming smartphone will be coming with Exynos 7885 chipset which was also used on the 2018 edition of the Galaxy A phones. The score of this device was first uploaded on November 20th on Geekbench and the device will be running on Android 8.1.0 Oreo operating system out of the box, which is a little disappointing considering even the midrange smartphone are now coming with Android Pie operating system.

Furthermore, The Galaxy M2 will be equipped with 3GB of RAM which could get a 32GB of storage option. We can expect 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant also when the device gets officially launched. According to the listing, the device has a single-core score of 1319 points while the multi-core score of 4074 points. This score is similar to the smartphones with Snapdragon 660 SoC and Helio P60 chipset.

The Galaxy M2 will be sporting an Octa-core Samsung Exynos 7885 SoC with a base frequency of 1.59GHz with two Cortex A73 cores and six Cortex A53 cores. This will be accompanied with Mali G71 GPU and nothing else known about the device as of now.
