Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 smartphone

Ever since Samsung has entered into smartphone industry, it started releasing a wide variety of Android-based smartphones into the market at regular intervals. It always makes sure to equip latest technological features in its devices and offers low to high range of devices. The recent launches of Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 proved that the company is managing well to release the devices which meet user requirements.

Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 is a 4.8-inch smartphone which was released long back. The users who bought this device were very satisfied with its performance, but there seem to be certain issues on the device. Just like all other Android devices, it also started showcasing few issues after certain usage. So, we made few workouts on the issues and managed to solve them. Now, just sit back and go through the below solutions to fix the issues in your device.

1. Over-heating Issue

Problem – Over-heating issue seems to be a most common issue in these days on any Android-device. As the device packs with high-end technological features, so it is obvious that the phone gets over-heated. But with few workouts, one can manage to overcome the issue.

Solution – The first thing you can do to avoid the over-heating issue is to avoid the usage of phone while plugged-in for charging. Also, remove the case from the phone while charging and never do multi-tasking (accessing various apps and features at a time) on the phone as it over-loads the processor and may cause the over-heating issue.

In case if the issue keeps on troubling you, then try to clear stored in apps as well as the device. To clear app cache, open each app from app manager and tap on ‘Clear Cache’ button. To clear the cache from the device, you have to perform wipe cache partition. For that, turn off the device and press volume up and home button along with the power button simultaneously at the same time for few seconds. Now, in here, use volume buttons for scrolling and power button for confirming the selection. So, select and confirm ‘wipe cache partition’ and one done go for ‘Reboot System Now.’ Now, the device will be free from the cache, and the over-heating issue should get resolved.

In case, if you do not resolve the issue with above method, then perform the factory reset. This process will wipe away entire data from the device and so take a prior back up for proceeding. Once the backup is taken, turn off the device and enter into recovery mode as explained above. In here, select and confirm ‘wipe data/factory reset’ option and ‘Yes – delete all user data.’ The same process can also be done by opening ‘Settings>Backup & Reset>Factory data reset>Reset device> Delete all’. Once done, the device should be free from the over-heating issue.

2. Lag in Performance

Problem – We have received numerous reports from the users about the lag issue in their devices. So, we made few workouts with the same and found the solution to resolve the issue.

Solution – At first, you need to enable the developer options which are hidden in the device by default. So, open ‘Settings>About device’ and tap few times on ‘Build Number’ option. Now, go back and open the settings to find the ‘Developer Options. Open them and scroll down to find animation scale options. By default they will be marked to 1x, so now you can turn them off or reduce them to 0.5x so as to improve the performance of the device.

If you are not satisfied with the above method, then uninstall all the pre-installed and useless apps from the device as they lag the performance of the device. Next, try to clear the cache from apps and device as explained in the above solution. If everything fails, then follow the steps in above solution to perform the factory reset as this will resolve the issue of lag for sure.

3. Rapid Battery-draining issue

Problem – Another common issue that seems to trouble the Galaxy S3 users is the rapid battery drain. Most of the users wrote that the battery is discharging faster than normal, and so they couldn’t be able to use the phone for a long time.

Solution – Well, to resolve this issue, the user has to follow few precautions. First of all, make sure that you are using original battery charger for charging the device as the duplicate charger will discharge the battery quicker. Also, don’t attempt to charge the device via PC or Laptop as that involves in swapping, and so device battery will take a long time for charging, and it doesn’t last longer after charging.

Also, avoid using battery-draining apps, widgets, and live wallpapers. All these will keep more pressure on the processor and causes battery-draining issues. Also, turn off the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and data connections whenever not in use. If you still facing the battery draining issue even after following the above precautions, then replace it with a new one.

4. Bluetooth Connection issue

Problem – Few users reported that their device isn’t able to pair the other devices when using Bluetooth. Well, this seems to be a minor issue, but if ignored, that could cause a major problem.

Solution – First of all, make sure that you are pairing the correct device and if it is alright then restart the device and try again. If it doesn’t work, then check the number of paired devices that are stored in your phone as it has the certain limit. So, try removing old paired-devices and start pairing the device freshly from beginning. By now, your issue should have resolved. Anyhow, only a few users seem to face this issue that too after updating the software. So, most probably, another software update will resolve the issue.

5. Wi-Fi and Data Connection Issue

Problem – Most of the users reported that they aren’t able to connect to Wi-Fi and data networks. Well, these days it seems to be a common problem on all Android devices.

Solution – For Wi-Fi issue, restart the phone and try to connect again. If it fails, then turn off the router and wait for 30 seconds and then turn it back on. By now, this issue should get resolved. For data connection issue, try to enable the flight mode for some time and then disable it. Now, network data issue will get resolved for sure if not restart the device and try.

Note – Software updates will contain fixes for any minor bugs in the device and helps in improving the performance of the phone. So, always check for updates under ‘Settings>About device’ and download the available updates for your phone.
