You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
LG is one of the world’s renowned electronics manufacturing company and every year the company comes up with some interesting new tech to showcase to the world at CES show floor. Similarly, this year as well, the company has some plans to unveil a couple of new products. This year at the CES 2017 show floor, LG is promising to showcase their new line of robots. While the details on the same are unclear as of now, but it looks like we are in for a treat this year. LG will be unveiling them on on January 4th, 2017.
It looks like LG will be unveiling a couple of different robots out of which, one of them is called the ‘Hub Robot.’ This is expected to challenge the existing products in the market such as the Google Home and the Amazon Echo. Both of these products are more like a personal assistant/smart home management devices. Hence we are expecting the company to come up with a product of similar kind. Considering the fact that these smart assistants are the main attraction these days, it makes a lot of sense of them to enter this market as well.
LG also has plans to preview some robots that will help with yard work. According to the company, it will demonstrate new capabilities for tending to one’s yard and garden. And not just that, the company is also planning to unveil some robots designed for commercial use. We are expecting to see these robots in places like Hotels, airports, etc. So next time when you see some robot welcoming you in the hotel, don’t freak out. This market of Robots is not an uncharted territory to LG as they have already launched the LG HOM-BOT, which is an automated vacuum cleaner just like others like the Xiaomi Mi Robot, etc. Hence, we can expect these robots to be of great use.
With that said, 2017 is going to be a year full of robots and home automation products. Microsoft is also planning to launch a similar product which will take advantage of Cortana. And amidst all this, we won’t be surprised if Apple also came up with something like this on the same lines. As mentioned earlier, we don’t have much info about these robots that LG is planning to launch. However, if you want to know more about it, then be sure to stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more details on the same as we will update once we have more info.
