A month after unveiling the Honor View 10 smartphone alongside the Honor 7X in London, Honor India launched its first ever AI smartphone this month in India. It comes with an aggressive price tag of Rs. 29,999 and is available exclusively on Amazon India. The device comes in Midnight Black and Navy Blue color options. The company also partnered with Airtel to offer 90GB of free data for the Airtel 4G users. With the metal unibody design and 2.5D curved glass on the front, the Honor View 10 gives a premium in-hand feel.
As seen on the recently launched Honor and Huawei smartphones, the new View 10 also sports a 5.99-inch FullView display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 longer aspect ratio. Even with the 18:9 display, the company still managed to offer a front-facing fingerprint sensor. The USP of the device is the in-house Kirin 970 octa-core processor that comes coupled with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU and a dedicated NPU. With the NPU, the Honor View 10 can process 2,000 images per minute, compared to just 97 images using the CPU.
There is also 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot. It also runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out of the box. In the camera department, there is a 16MP + 20MP dual camera setup on the rear with f/1.8 aperture and a 13MP selfie camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, IR Blaster, NFC, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
The device is backed by a 3,750mAh non-removable battery and supports 5V/4.5A (22.5W) Honor’s SuperCharge fast charging technology. It measures 157.00 × 74.98 × 6.97 mm and weighs 172 grams. Along with the fingerprint authentication, the device can be unlocked using Face Unlock. The Honor View 10 comes with transparent silicone case and a pre-applied screen protector.
