Huawei Mate 10 Pro Launched in the U.S for $799, Still No Carrier Support

Last year, Huawei launched the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones in Europe and Asia. As teased earlier, the company launched the flagship Mate 10 Pro smartphone in the U.S. The announcement was made at the ongoing CES 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. As we earlier reported, there is no mention about its partnership with AT&T, the second largest carrier in the U.S. As of now, the new Huawei flagship will be sold as an unlocked device via online and major retail stores. While the Mate 10 Pro costs $799, the Mate 10 Pro Porsche Design is priced slightly higher at $1225.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro comes in Midnight Blue and Titanium Bright color options. It will be available to pre-order starting February 4th, and shipping will begin from February 18th. On the other hand, the Mate 10 Pro Porsche Design will ship on February 18th. While the Mate 10 Pro offers glass back body, the Mate 10 Pro Porsche Design comes with glass back body. Apart from the difference in internal storage, both the devices come with identical specifications. However, the Mate 10 Pro Porsche Design comes additionally includes a Porsche logo on the front.

Talking about the specifications, the Mate 10 comes with a 6-inch FullView AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the powered Kirin 970 octa-core processor, the world’s first mobile processor to come with an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU). It comes coupled with Mali G72 MP12 GPU and 6GB of RAM. While the Mate 10 Pro offers 128GB of internal storage, the Porsche Design edition comes with 256GB of internal storage. It also includes an advanced Cat.18 LTE modem that offers up to 1.2Gbps download speeds.

It runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.0 skin on top. The Mate 10 Pro comes with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and is also IP67 certified. Talking about the cameras, there is a 20MP + 12MP dual camera setup on the rear with dual f/1.6 aperture, OIS, PDAF + CAF + Laser + Depth Auto Focus, 2x hybrid zoom, and dual-LED flash. On the front is an 8MP fixed focus camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
