OnePlus Might Launch OnePlus 5T Sandstone Variant at CES 2018

OnePlus debuted the smartphone market by launching the flagship killer called OnePlus One. Along with the high-end specifications and $299 price tag, the sandstone finish also brought some attention to the device. Later, OnePlus only launched the OnePlus 2 with the sandstone finish. However, It also launched the OnePlus power banks in Sandstone finish. Last month, the company came up with the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition in Sandstone White.

It comes with a slightly higher price tag than the regular OnePlus 5T. The limited edition device also features Star Wars logo on the rear and Red-colored Alert Slider on the left. A few days back, the company posted a new video teasing the launch of a new sandstone variant of the OnePlus 5T. OnePlus is yet to reveal the complete details about this new variant. While the company hasn’t mentioned any specific date for the announcement, it is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming CES 2018.

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will be held from January 7th to 12th 2018, including the media days. We will be hearing the official details about the OnePlus 5T sandstone variant during this period. While the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition came in Sandstone White color, we guess the upcoming variant will be launched in Sandstone Black color. Apart from the textured finish on the rear, there will be no other differences between the OnePlus 5T and the upcoming variant.

The OnePlus 5T sports a 6.01-inch Full Optic AMOLED display with Full HD+(2106 ×1080 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It packs Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. Though the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, the company already released the OxygenOS Open Beta 1 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. It sports 16MP + 20MP dual rear cameras with f/1.7 aperture, EIS, and dual LED flash.

For selfies, there is a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device comes with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and super fast Face Unlock. It is backed by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery and supports 5V/4A (20W) Dash Charge fast charging technology. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
