Honor 8X Max with Snapdragon 660 & Honor 8X to Launch on September 5th

Huawei’s Honor was long rumored to launch the Honor 8X smartphone in the second half of 2018. Now, the company has officially confirmed to launch not one, but two Honor 8X devices- Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max. The teaser images confirmed the China launch date as September 5th. The Honor smartphone with the model number ARE-AL00 listed on TENAA is expected to be the Honor 8X Max smartphone. With the Honor 8X smartphones, the company will also introduce the V-shaped notch display.

The teaser image also revealed the Honor 8X Max to come with a larger display than the Honor 8X. As of now, there is not much information about the Honor 8X. Talking about the Honor 8X Max, the device is said to come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor. While there is no confirmation, the Honor 8X might come with the in-house HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor. The TENAA listing revealed the Honor 8X Max to sport 7.12-inch display with Full HD+ (2244 × 1080 pixels) resolution.

It will be coming with 16MP + 2MP dual rear cameras and an 8MP single front camera. Since the Honor 8X Max comes with Snapdragon chipset, it will be missing out the GPU Turbo technology. From the TENAA images, we can spot the circular fingerprint sensor on the rear. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device. Since the launch date is a couple of weeks away, we can expect more leaks in the coming days. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
