Google Pixel 3 Camera App Crashes Continuously, Fix Coming Soon
Google launched its Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL flagship smartphones a few weeks back, which were officially announced in the month of October and since then the device has been in the news for a bug that adds a second Notch, reports of overheating, users report of random message deletes and complaints of distorted audio from Pixel 3 XL speaker. The latest one being a camera bug that brings a fatal error when the user tries to use the Google Camera app and then those who tried using a third-party application to open the camera received a “cannot connect” error.
The Tech giant has responded to the same and has announced that it will be rolling out an update to fix the issue in the coming weeks. Google responded to a query and also said that the users who are affected can use the Pixel Camera without limitations and share images to a third-party app for now. Google remained silent and did not respond to the queries regarding the refusal to replace the units.
The users who were facing the issue reached Google’s support team and were refused to replace the unit and they were also suggested to wait for a software fix instead. The bug keeps showing fatal error whenever the users try to use the native camera application and “Cannot connect to the camera” message has been displayed who try to connect via third-party camera apps.
A Similar kind of issue was also found in the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones earlier this year when the users reported the same “fatal error” that crashed the camera application. The camera which is known for taking high-quality photos cannot be used by the users with this bug and they need to wait for a software fix since they do not have an option. Both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones came with a 12.2 MP main camera sensor along with an 8MP selfie camera. Were you affected by any of these issues?
