LG V20 Rumored to Launch as LG V10 Successor at IFA 2016

lg v10

LG V10 is a great smartphone as we all know and it was a great success last year for the company. It looks like the company is going to launch a successor to the V10 this year and apparently it is going to happen soon. According to reports, it is expected that the company is planning to launch the successor to the V10 by early September.

If you remember, the V10 was, launched in October last year. This year the company might be planning to launch the smartphone by early September to keep up with the competition. Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Note 5 by the end of August last year; however, the company is launching the smartphone as early as August 2nd. This decision is taken as 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics is taking place and Samsung being one of the official sponsors, they are launching the device that time.

Industries believe that earlier release date of Galaxy Note 7 is to carry on positive responses from Galaxy S7. Also, it can definitely benefit from marketing if it releases Galaxy Note 7 according to the schedule of Summer Olympics. Hence it is predicted that LG will also push forward the release of V10 by a month. Not sure if it’s a wise decision but yes, we might see the device early as it will go head-to-head with the Apple iPhone 7 as well. V10’s next model’s name is not decided yet; there is a higher chance that it will be ‘V20’ instead of ‘V11.’

The LG V10 was one of the best well-built device from last year and gave a tough competition to many other flagships. It sported a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 clocked at 1.8 GHz and had a 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage which is also expandable up to a 128GB via a microSD card. It featured a massive 5.7-inch IPS LCD QuadHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It was powered by a 3000 mAh battery. However, we have no information on anything about the successor to this, but stay tuned for more specifications as we will see more of them in coming weeks.
