How To Easily Update the Sideloaded APK’s on your Android Smartphone

apkupdater-app

The best thing about owning an Android smartphone is, you can customize it the way you want. What this essentially means is that you can side load some application which is not available on the Google Play Store also. While it is not recommended to do every time, but most of the application which you might need for some kind of productivity work to make life easier are often not found on the play store.

As I mentioned earlier that it is not always recommended to do so, the reason behind the same is the fact that if you install these apps from anywhere else, you will not get the updates for them from Play store. And if you have already side loaded apps from third party websites, then you already know that it can be very difficult. The only thing you are pretty much left with is basically scout through the internet and find updates for them, and in my opinion, this can is the toughest thing to do.

Thankfully, this problem has been solved once and forever. There is an app for that as well, and it will do all the internet scouting for you and provide you with the available updates. The application is called the APKUpdater, and this app will collect the updates for the sideloaded apps in your device from websites like APKMirror, APKPure and Play Store, etc. Now let me give you a step-by-step procedure on how to get it done easily.

  • To start things off, the first thing you need to do is install the APKUpdater app. I saved you some time and provided you the link from where you can download the APKUpdater App.
  • Download APKUpdater App Apk 1.87 MB 0 downloads

Download the APKUpdater app to help to download the available updates from the internet...
  • Now install the application on to the device in which you have the apps sideloaded.

Once installed, now you have to adjust some settings to play with the app and make sure it is working properly. What essentially we are doing here is, we are trying to stop the app from installing the experimental updates like alpha, bet, etc. since you won’t need them.  For that,

  • Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the app. The options to look out here are “Skip experimental builds” checkbox.
  • “Check for Updates” entry with which you can tell the app the frequency to check for the updates and from where the updates are pulled.

With that out of the way, you have now successfully completed the setup procedure of the APKUpdater app. From here on, the application will do all the scouting of the internet and find the updates for the sideloaded apps in your device. The only thing which you need to make sure is that once you get the notification for an update, just tap on that and check if the update is mandatory and proceed. You can also do them manually by selecting any app that needs an update, and you’ll be taken directly to a webpage where you can download the newer version of this APK.

Just look for the APK, launch it and press install when prompted and your sideloaded application will be updated to the latest version available in no time.
