Huawei Enjoy 6 Smartphone with 5″ AMOLED Display & IP52 Certification Launched in China
After launching the popular Huawei P9 and P9 Plus, the company has launched quite a few good mid-range smartphones including the new Nova and Nova Plus. Unlike other Chinese brands, we haven’t seen any Huawei smartphones in the ultra-budget segment. Usually, Honor smartphones will fill this gap with the smartphones like Honor Holly series. In terms of market share, Huawei is now placed below OPPO and Vivo in China. With the upcoming Mate 9, we hope the company might return to the number one spot in China by the end of Q4 2016. Today, Huawei has launched the Huawei Enjoy 6 smartphone in China. As seen with the earlier TENAA listing, the device comes with decent upgrades when compared to Enjoy 5 and Enjoy 5S smartphones.
The device is priced at 1299 Yuan and comes with metal body with rounded corners. Huawei smartphones will be also available in the offline markets and offer much better after-sales service when compared to the online exclusive brands. Now, even brands like Xiaomi and Meizu are making efforts to sell their device in the offline markets. Talking about the specifications, there is a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display on the front with a pixel density of 293 ppi. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. There is 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded additionally upto 128GB.
In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, and LED flash. For selfies, Huawei Enjoy 6 features a 5MP sensor with the wide-angle lens. The Enjoy 6 is backed by a 4,100mAh battery and is rated to give more 22 hours of talk time and last upto 648 hours on standby mode. Just below the rear camera, we can find the circular fingerprint sensor which can also be used for accessing the notifications panel or capturing selfies while the camera app is opened. The device is mentioned to authorize mobile payments with the fingerprint sensor even though it lacks the NFC. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the highly customized EMUI 4.1 laid on top.
The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE and VoLTE. One more interesting feature is that the Enjoy 6 comes with IP52 certification, which means the device is only splash resistant and not water resistant. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, OTG, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 143.2 x 70.4 x 7.9 mm and weighs 145 grams. The Honor Enjoy 6 is priced at 1299 Yuan and comes in Gray, White, and Gold color options. It will be on sale starting from November 1st only in China.
