Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime spotted online on Russian retail store

Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime has been spotted online with a model number SM-G532F / DS. This will be another inclusion in the J series, and Samsung has not hinted any announcement about the device and looks like few stores are already selling the device. It is not sure if the Galaxy J2 Prime will be the sibling of Galaxy J2 (2016).

The new device from the South Korean Giant comes with a LED ring around the camera for performing all the notifications functions instead of a LED light on the front. The user guide of J2 Prime reveals that there is no Smart Glow feature on the device.

Many of the retail shop claim that the device is already available for a price of 10 thousand rubles (approx $160). The Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime with model number G523F will be powered by a MediaTek MT6737 processor. A few weeks ago, Samsung and MediaTek had partnered, and this could be the result of it.

Coming to the specifications of the device, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime will come with a 5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels giving a pixel density of 220 PPI. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek MT6737T Quad-core processor with a clocking speed of 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali T720 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime is a Dual SIM variant and will be available in White and Black color variant. Out of the box, the handset comes with Android Marshmallow 6.0 and has an internal memory of 8GB which could be extended up to 64GB via microSD card slot. On the rear, there is a 8 MP camera with LED flash and has a secondary camera of 5MP. There are other features like Geotagging, Autofocus, HDR, Panorama and is also capable of recording HD videos at 30 fps.

On the device, there are sensors like, Accelerometer, Magnetometer and Proximity sensor. The other connectivity option includes MicroUSB 2.0, A-GPS, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 and GPRS.
